Terms of use

Last updated 25 September 2026

These terms cover Air Con Installers at acinstallers.uk. Using the site, sending an enquiry, asking to be listed, or asking about a featured place means you agree to them. Installers also agree to the installer terms when they accept them on first sign-in. How we use personal information is in the privacy notice.

The directory

Air Con Installers helps you find air conditioning installers and send one enquiry. Company pages are there so you can compare. Guides are general information. They aren’t a survey, a design, or a promise that a product is right for your property.

Details come from the companies or from public information, and they can be incomplete or out of date. We can refuse, edit or remove a listing.

A featured place is paid for. It is labelled Featured, it runs for a fixed term, and it sits above the other installers on that town page. It is not a ranking, and it is not a promise that the company is the best for your property. The list underneath stays in its own order, and that order can’t be paid for. Companies we’ve checked come first. After that, the order reflects how complete each listing is.

“Checked” means we have looked the company up on public records, including Companies House (or confirmed who they are if they aren’t a limited company) and an F-Gas register, and the company has confirmed it holds public liability insurance. It isn’t a guarantee of their work, their insurance, or that they’re free to take the job. Check qualifications, insurance and F-Gas competence yourself before you book anyone.

Enquiries

Sending an enquiry is free and doesn’t oblige you to go ahead with any installer. We don’t design the system, price the job, or carry out the installation. Any quote or contract is between you and the installer.

If you send an enquiry from a company’s page, we offer it to that company, or if they can’t help, to other checked installers who cover your area. From anywhere else, we offer it to checked installers who cover your area. An offer lasts 24 hours. If an installer declines or doesn’t reply, we may offer it to another checked installer. No more than three installers can accept one enquiry and see your contact details.

We usually pass an enquiry on within one working day. We don’t guarantee that an installer will accept, contact you, or be able to do the job.

For installers

A listing is published only after we confirm. Asking to be listed doesn’t publish anything, and it doesn’t by itself mean you’ll be offered enquiries. Enquiries go only to installers we’ve marked as checked.

We offer enquiries to checked installers free of charge. To see a homeowner’s contact details, you sign in with the link we email you and accept the enquiry. Offers stay open for 24 hours. By accepting enquiries you agree to these terms:

  • Use a homeowner’s details only to contact them about the enquiry you accepted.
  • Contact the homeowner promptly, ideally within one working day of accepting.
  • Don’t sell, share or pass on a homeowner’s details, or add them to marketing lists.
  • If we ask you to delete a homeowner’s details, do it unless you still need them to finish work they asked you to do.
  • Offers stay open for 24 hours. If you don’t accept in that time, we may offer the enquiry to someone else.
  • The insurance you confirm is current public liability cover for this work. We may ask to see it.
  • Tell us if your insurance, F-Gas certification or company details change.
  • We can stop sending you enquiries at any time, and you can ask us to stop too.

You can ask us to stop offering you enquiries. Your listing stays unless you also ask us to remove it. We can stop offering you enquiries, or remove a listing, at any time — for example if insurance, F-Gas certification or company details are out of date, or if these terms aren’t kept.

Featured places

One company can be shown above the other installers on a town page, labelled Featured. It runs for a fixed term. The price for that town is in our reply to a request. Sending a request doesn’t reserve the place. It goes live only once we’ve confirmed by email, and payment is arranged with us directly, not through the site. If the place is already taken, the same request asks to be next. We can refuse a request, and we can end a placement if it isn’t paid for or these terms aren’t kept.

A featured place doesn’t change where a company sits in the list underneath, and it doesn’t change whether the company is checked or receives enquiries.

Liability

The installation is between the homeowner and the installer. We’re not a party to that contract. We’re not responsible for an installer’s quote, workmanship, timing or conduct, or for a decision you make from a listing or a guide.

Nothing on this site limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that English law says can’t be limited.

Contact and changes
